SUMMARY:Financial Seminar
DESCRIPTION:The EnPe Secretariat is organizing a seminar on financial reporting as part of the joint capacity building efforts. \nThe seminar is intended for project coordinators (project managers) and persons responsible for financial reporting at the partner institutions in the South. In addition\, persons responsible for financial reporting at the Norwegian partner institutions will be involved in the workshop to share their experiences and possibly acquit themselves with the financial reporting mechanisms of the partner institutions in the south. \nIn order to prepare for the seminar\, our intent is to undertake a competence mapping survey among staff responsible for financial reporting in the South partners. This is intended to enable us to identify possible capacity gaps and relevant topics for the discussion during the workshop. \nAs of now\, the topics that will be covered are: Financial reporting: rules and responsibilities\, Currency exchange: losses and gains\, Procurement procedures/processes and Auditing \nEnPe’s financial seminar will be held in Dar Es Salaam on the 24 and 25 of May. PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC) is invited to share with us their knowledge on audits and financial matters during the seminar. We will also have group work and time for discussions.

DESCRIPTION:All photos: Sangeeta Singh\nThe MSESSD program is organizing the second international symposium on “Gender and sustainable development” with the objective of providing a unique forum to discuss the gender issues in urban development. The symposium 1 National Planning Commission\, 2015: Sustainable Development Goals\, 2016-2030\, National (Preliminary)\, will be held on the 4th and 5th December 2017 (18 and 19 Mangsir 2074) and it is expected to be participated by the key representatives of governments\, civil societies\, international organizations and academia.
