The EnPe Secretariat is organizing a seminar on financial reporting as part of the joint capacity building efforts.

The seminar is intended for project coordinators (project managers) and persons responsible for financial reporting at the partner institutions in the South. In addition, persons responsible for financial reporting at the Norwegian partner institutions will be involved in the workshop to share their experiences and possibly acquit themselves with the financial reporting mechanisms of the partner institutions in the south.

In order to prepare for the seminar, our intent is to undertake a competence mapping survey among staff responsible for financial reporting in the South partners. This is intended to enable us to identify possible capacity gaps and relevant topics for the discussion during the workshop.

As of now, the topics that will be covered are: Financial reporting: rules and responsibilities, Currency exchange: losses and gains, Procurement procedures/processes and Auditing

EnPe’s financial seminar will be held in Dar Es Salaam on the 24 and 25 of May. PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC) is invited to share with us their knowledge on audits and financial matters during the seminar. We will also have group work and time for discussions.
